Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems has added two additional manufacturer rep firms to spearhead sales of Nexo loudspeaker products within North America. The move is part of a planned expansion.

R. Joseph Group, based in Columbus, Ohio, will handle Nexo sales efforts in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania.

"We firmly believe that Nexo is well positioned to assume [a leadership] role with an unbeatable combination of high-quality products, corporate stability, and dealer programs that directly address the challenges that most sound companies and systems integrators face today," said Rob Joseph, president of R. Joseph Group, in a statement.

Dallas-based Highway Marketing will be responsible for Nexo product sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

President of Highway Marketing Scott Baker said in a statement, "Nexo speaker products will integrate well into our product mix, and both [vice president] Steve Simmons and I look forward to a long-term relationship with Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems."

This year, Nexo completes its first full year of transition in becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corp. Japan.

"We have seen enormous growth and interest in Nexo products in both the U.S. and Canada through the continued support of our loyal dealers and end users, and the efforts of our Nexo sales and marketing team," said Paul Furtkamp, national sales manager for Yamaha, in statement. "We are looking forward to Highway Marketing and R. Joseph Group joining the Nexo team and are confident they will be successful in continuing the growth and momentum with the Nexo brand."
