Russound’s iBridge Embraces Multi-Room Music Systems

Russound has added an iPod dock to its arsenal of accessories for the RNET multi-room system. The iBridge Dock Kit BGK1 connects an iPod to Russound multi-room systems and becomes another music source. The dock also doubles as a charger, even while in use, keeping the player juiced and ready for portable use. iBridge gives iPod users the same metadata via an LCD keypad that they see on their iPod displays and sends selection commands for play, pause, track advance and playlist up/down back to the controller. For non-RNET multi-room systems, iBridge includes an infrared control feature. In multi-iPod households, more than one iBridge Dock can be designated as a multi-room source and docks can be placed up to 300ft. from the controller. Five well adapters are included to cover a range of iPod models.
