Vidikron Model 90

The Model 90 DLP projector incorporates Vidikron’s proprietary Imagix video processing, along with a three-chip DLP engine. The onboard processor is said to scale any standard-definition video source to native HD resolution without the artifacts or picture grain associated with lower-quality processing chips. Resolution is 1280 x 720p.

The projector is available with one of four lenses for use with multiple screen widths, with each lens offering electronic horizontal and vertical shift to compensate for off-center installations. Vidikron’s IntelliWide technology promises widescreen viewing of 4:3 material without significant loss of image quality, and AutoScope properly displays movies filmed in CinemaScope 2.23:1. CineWide technology eliminates the black bars present in DVDs. Inputs include two HDCP-compliant DVIs and an RS-232 interface.
