Hitachi America 8000+

In May Hitachi America Digital Media Division introduced the 8000+ Series 3LCD projectors and companion lenses to their high-end projector line up. The company is positioning these projectors from corporate boardroom to large venue auditorium settings. The series includes the CP-X8800, CP-WX8650, CP-WX8750, CP-WU8600 and CP-WU8700; all can deliver 30 to 600 inches diagonal at a contrast ration of 10,000:1 and lumen range between 6000 and 8000 depending on the model. Resolution varies as well up to WUXGA 1920×1200. All five models are HDBaseT compliant. With multiple interchangeable lenses, edge-blending and warping (and optional 360 projection) plus all of Hitachi’s color management features, they are decidedly high end. But if you need a flashy picture, or a vertical or angled installation, and/or if you need HDBaseT and/or HDMI, DisplayPort, and 3G SDI (the CP-WU8700) you will want to give these new projectors a look. All five models come with Color Management technology that allows individual control of six colors (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow) for hue, saturation and luminance one at a time. All models also incorporate Hitachi’s proprietary Accentualizer and High Dynamic Contrast Range (HDCR) technologies which claim to enhance the shade, sharpness and gloss of the projection while increasing the contrast to allow for high quality color projection in brightly lit rooms. The series include Hitachi’s Status Monitoring System and embedded control for Crestron Connected, AMX Device Discovery and Extron XTP.
