Atlona announced the HDVS extender/scaler family of products. Designed to facilitate the analog-to-digital transition in schools and corporate settings, the products support HDMI computers, Blu-ray players, and document cameras, in addition to the numerous VGA computers. The HDVS transmitter and receiver family will be available in both box and wallplate versions. The HDVS extender/scaler family of products uses power over category cable (PoCc), which only requires power from the receiver and transmits signals up to 230ft. via HDBaseT technology. With various input selection options, sources can be selected either automatically or through RS-232 control, while displays can also be controlled using RS-232 commands. Availability: August 2013
