Audio Authority debuts the U.S.-made SF-16M matrix amplifier, a blend of matrix switching, signal processing, amplification, and flexible I/O. The SF-16M works with a series of FlexPort audio modules to add remote inputs via Cat-5 wallplates— each amp can accommodate two stereo modules or four in mono mode. Four different module versions will be available, including two balanced mic/ line level models as well as stereo RCA and digital optical/coax modules. FlexPort modules can be mounted on any surface, or as Dacora-style wallplates. Override buttons on each module can be set up via a free PC utility to allow the module to play only in the room it is located in or in any combination of rooms.
