Magenta Research Mondo Matrix Switcher Adds Direct Connection and Integrated Transmitter Functionality

The Mondo Matrix scalable Cat-5 switcher from Magenta Research now offers Mondo direct input cards, enabling direct input of video and audio sources. Each Mondo Direct card has inputs for 16 sources, delivering video plus audio to a Mondo Matrix switcher. This eliminates the need for standalone MultiView series transmitters, removes UTP cable input lengths, reduces rack space, and lowers installation labor costs. Two cards with 16 RJ-45 outputs fit into each 4RU modular Mondo frame.
Examples of Mondo Matrix configurations with Mondo Direct Input Cards include:
a) 32 VGA + audio direct inputs x 16 RJ-45 outputs (4RU)
b) 16 VGA + audio direct inputs and 32 RJ-45 inputs x 16 RJ-45 outputs (48×16 total) (4RU)
c) 32 VGA + audio direct inputs x 32 RJ-45 outputs, full-matrix, (8RU)
d) 32 VGA + audio direct inputs x 128 RJ-45 outputs, full-matrix, (32RU)
Mondo Direct cards incorporate Magenta’s proprietary MultiView technology, allowing any type of analog video—RGBHV, component, HDTV, S-Video or composite, plus balanced left-right audio to be distributed anywhere from 1ft. to 2,000ft. from a source with superior image quality.
