Now fully recallable, PreSonus’ new third-generation StudioLive Series III digital console/recorders are available in two configurations: the 24-input, 16-channel StudioLive 16, with 17 touch-sensitive, motorized faders and 17 recallable XMAX preamps and the 40-input StudioLive 32, with 33 touch-sensitive, motorized faders and 33 recallable XMAX preamps.
Key features include PreSonus Capture multitrack recording software with virtual soundcheck installed directly—no laptop required; Fat Channel processing with vintage-style EQ and compression options on every channel and 6-band, fully parametric EQ on all mix outputs; new features such as Scene Safe and FlexMixes, the latter of which can be individually designated as aux, subgroup, or matrix mixes; an AVB Ethernet connection for streaming up to 55 channels of audio to and from a Mac or Windows PC; and more.
Notably, the StudioLive 16 comes with the Studio One Artist DAW, while StudioLive 32 comes with the Studio One Professional DAW. Musicians can control their monitor mixes onstage via PreSonus’ free QMix-UC for iPhone, iPod touch or Android device.
