Roland VC-1-SH

Roland Systems Group launched a new portable, single-function video converter line-up, building from the high-quality, lossless technology developed for the company’s VC-300HD, VC-50HD and VC-30HD converters. The “mini” converters support both level A and B 3G-SDI, as well as digital AES/EBU input and output signals. The series is HDCP-compliant with selectable audio embedding and deembedding. An on-board re-clocker compensates for attenuation of SDI signals carried over long distances. The Roland VC-1-HS converts, extends and embeds audio from HDMI to SDI. This converter is designed to integrate well with Roland’s V-1600HD and V-800HD multi-format video mixers when using SDI signals for camera input to the mixer. The Roland VC-1-SH converts an SDI signal to HDMI, providing a more cost-effective SDI monitoring solution. This converter is complementary to the Roland V-40HD multi-format video mixer. The series will also include a bi-directional SDI/HDMI convertor, the VC-1 DL. Availability: Now
