Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) announced that it is now shipping the fifth generation of its popular T2 wireless control interface: the T2x. In addition to a thinner, sleeker, and more ergonomic design, the T2x adds several new features. The T2x features a flush-mount, edge-to-edge 2.8in. color TFT LCD touchscreen interface that is customizable via RTI’s Integration Designer software, while providing users with improved gesture support for actions such as swiping through scrolling lists. There are 47 programmable hard buttons for common control functions, integrated grip sensors to wake up the remote, and an accelerometer to provide the convenience of movement control. The T2x includes three built-in wireless modes, integrated 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet, and a dual-RF platform, which supports both 433MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics.
