Sierra Video Systems, a leading provider of high-quality video and audio equipment for the government, broadcast, and professional video marketplaces, announced the release of its Viper ultra-wideband video routing switchers. These RGBHV routing switchers have 500MHz bandwidth and feature hot-swappable video boards, control processors, and power supplies. Viper routing switchers’ modularity allow for increased performance and reliability in critical video applications.

“The Viper family of routing switchers is our first large RGBHV offering and is designed expressly for mission critical applications,” says Chris Santos, product manager for Sierra Video Systems. “With Viper routing switchers, we’ve packaged all of the features essential to maximize in-service time, like hot-swappable video and CPU boards, in an extremely compact frame size of only 20 rack units for the entire RGBHV system. These features are especially important in high-end broadcast and government applications.”
