The new world of AV digital convergence demands a suite of solutions that include a router and modem for IP control, access, and content. The Tripp Lite AV550SC addresses problems that are encountered when designing AV systems that now include a router and modem. The AV550SC uses a reset/recycle button with 60-second outlet delay for proper sequential reboot of the router and modem. This allows for the modem to find its IP address first before the router reboots. An all-too- familiar problem for when the service provider sends an anomaly down the pipe that causes the router and modem to freeze up. Other features include surge/spike protection, EMI/RFI filtration, 550VA/300W battery backup, three transformer spaced outlets (four total), 2.2 HD coax, and phone protection. Visual LED indicators for proper grounding, on/off, low battery and overload, front outlet labeling configurable, all in a compact form factor to seamlessly integrate within any system or structured wiring design.
