Xantech unveils the DDS digital delivery system with DIGI-5 technology, which uses Cat-5 wiring to distribute audio. DDS provides cleaner audio at louder listening levels than previous similar analog systems. With powerful, dependable, and intuitive operation (needing no extra programming), RS-232 control compatibility, audio distribution to anywhere from four to 28 zones, and a number of other exclusive features, Xantech’s DDS is perfect for residential homes, condo/apartment complexes, hotels, restaurants, resorts, coach buses, and RVs. Xantech’s DIGI-5 DDS is the only 1×4 or 4×4 (four-source/four-zone) home theater expansion system, and it is available in flat-pack structured wiring hubs as well as a 1RU home theater model. It features the proprietary Xan-Net network port-connect for SPLCD, media metadata, and more. The units include a built-in 30W high-efficiency digital amplifier, as well as volume, tone, and balance control. Only one Cat-5 cable is dedicated to the keypad. The units are sold in either single-source or four-source models. The unit’s display is bright LED with back-lit touch surface featuring source selection and time-out control.
