Popular Industry-Specific Conference Focuses on Business Transformation Topics

The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) will host its 15th annual Business & Leadership Conference (BLC), February 21-23, 2013, at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Phoenix, AZ. NSCA is celebrating 15 years of providing business owners and managers with information on industry trends and issues, marketing, economic and business tactics relevant to the electronic systems integration industry.

The 2013 event will focus on business transformation. Over the last few years, the electronic systems industry has witnessed a tremendous amount of transition; the convergence of AV and IT, an evolving distribution model, buyouts, competitive bid market and much more. Attendees will gain strategies on incorporating these business changes into their business models and the necessary training and knowledge needed to succeed and prosper through a constantly revolving industry. The 2012 conference experienced the highest number of attendees to date, providing even more reason integrators are striving to have successful businesses and look to the BLC as the one event they attend geared for industry business owners and managers.

“The 2012 NSCA BLC introduced me to a tremendous wealth of professionals who face, and who have faced, similar challenges that I tackle on a daily basis,” said Matt Chitwood, President of D&L Communication Systems. “I was impressed by the willingness of this group to embrace new entrants like myself – right from the start I felt welcomed by every person I met. The passion and experience of the featured speakers rivaled any I have ever seen. The meeting continues to bear fruit as I regularly have contact with individuals I met over the course of several days. It was a blessing to attend of behalf of the Randy Vaughan Founder’s Award.”

This year’s event returns to popular Phoenix, AZ, at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa. The area’s only AAA Four-Diamond hotel is located near the South Mountain Preserve, the largest municipal park in the world and the most visited hiking destination in the state. The Arizona Grand is a perfect place for attendees to bring their families, spouses or friends with a state of the art spa, 7 acre Oasis Water Park, stunning 18-hole golf course, and all suite rooms – perfect for a family getaway.

To kick-off the 3-day conference, the NSCA Education Foundation will host a charity golf tournament on Thursday, February 21, prior to the conference’s opening reception. The return of the tournament is a welcome event, with more than 60 golfers at the 2012 tournament. Additionally, it’s a way to support the Foundation in its effort to raise awareness and provide assistance on educational training for systems integrators.

Furthermore, the Foundation is once again offering the Randy Vaughan Founder’s Award, an opportunity for first-time attendees to experience the Business & Leadership Conference. Applicants must meet several requirements and the awards will be based upon eligibility:
