Tradeshows are some of the most cost-effective sales tools available to companies and consumers alike. They are, essentially, a one-stop shop where a person can use different resources to price, compare, and eventually buy the items they need. They are also an excellent opportunity to network and gain useful knowledge in your industry. CEDIA Expo 2009, to be held Sept. 9 to 13 in Atlanta, is no different. Now is the time to register and take advantage of the convenient networking, education, and cost-saving opportunities available at CEDIA Expo 2009.

At CEDIA Expo 2009, there are plenty of opportunities to maximize your experience and save time and money. Prior to the show, attendees and exhibitors alike can use the Map Your Show (MYS) tool. MYS is a state-of-the-art interactive online floor plan designed to bring exhibitors and attendees together to conduct business before, during, and after the show. Attendees can map out exactly where they’d like to go based upon businesses’ profiles in the program, and exhibitors can use listings to draw attendees’ attention to the interactive show floor. This tool allows users to maximize time and energy on the tradeshow floor.

While at CEDIA Expo, attendees and exhibitors can use free shuttles to the Georgia World Congress Center from a large list of area hotels. The Georgia World Congress Center is located conveniently in downtown Atlanta, which has recently undergone a surge of economic growth and transformation. Hundreds of event venues, restaurants, and upscale establishments are within walking distance of the convention center and a number of hotels. Meeting before or after the show is easy with so many locations to choose from, all within a short distance.

Industry-standard education is also available at the expo for those looking to expand their skill set or gain entrance into the industry. The expo is the best, most convenient way to gain a large number of continuing education units (CEUs) in a short amount of time. Gaining education and advanced skills from CEDIA are the best ways to get the upper hand on the competition. There will be hundreds of courses available at CEDIA Expo 2009 on a variety of topics and for a variety of skill sets.

Many attendees will also be taking advantage of Sunday-only events and education. Planning a trip that includes staying at the expo until Sunday will afford attendees and exhibitors the additional time to interact. Those who stick around until Sunday will have the opportunity to take one of several Sunday-only CEDIA University education courses, which include a free lunch. Also, Sunday attendees can participate in the Workin’ Wheels Giveaway for a new cargo van, and CEDIA is providing a free shuttle to the airport and remote check-in from the convention center so that attendees and exhibitors can avoid long check-in waits at the airport.

Registration for CEDIA Expo 2009 is still open and will have discounted prices online until Sept. 3. Make sure to register online to save time and money. Plan a trip to the expo with all of the tools available and make the most of your trip.
