InfoComm International marked a momentous association milestone as the organization awarded its 5,000th member with 5,000 EduBucks in June. EduBucks are scholarship dollars that can be used for education courses and for buying publications. The lucky recipient was Paul Stanulis, a sales engineer with KLA Laboratories in Dearborn, Mich. Stanulis was presented with a 5,000-EduBucks check made out to KLA Laboratories by InfoComm president Mark Valenti at InfoComm 08.

INFOCOMM, POLITECNICO INTERNACIONAL PARTNER FOR AV EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Juan Manuel Osorio, dean of The School of Hotels, Services and Entertainment at Politecnico Internacional in Bogota, Colombia, and Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D, executive director, InfoComm International, have signed an agreement to develop qualified AV professionals in Latin America.

Politecnico Internacional will begin delivering the Spanish version of InfoComm’s course Essentials of the AV Industry for Technical and Sales Professionals to students, making it the first school in the region to offer this respected curriculum.

InfoComm has launched a new CTS exam-resource webpage. Employers can use this page to determine who should take the test and how to manage their costs. CTS candidates can use the webpage for a quick overview of how to prepare.
