Products and trainings, networking, and tons of technology, CEDIA Expo is a once a year experience that you are going to want to make the most of. We’ve compiled some tips to help you plan before you get to Denver, and some sage advice for when you land in the mile-high city.

Take Care of The Business Before the Show

Meet with Your Team, with so much to do and see at Expo, things are bound to get busy once your team lands in Denver. Planning a team meeting before you travel to discuss schedules, show priorities and expectations of your staff will help curb any chaos.

You should also schedule a post-Expo follow-up meeting to discuss what you took from the show experience.

Business doesn’t stop when you are out-of-office. Make sure your team distinguishes point of contacts within the office while the team is out. Communication with your client is vital. From identifying a point person to coming up with a project game plan, these are a few of the items that should be set and ready before your trip to CEDIA Expo.

For those that will be out of the office, having an out-of-office reply set and ready to go is key. Your Itinerary when you select your courses through the CEDIA Expo registration system a day-to-day itinerary is generated for you. You can play around with different course times and offerings it will alert you if you have overlaps.

Next step: Prepare Your Bills. Since you’ve been tracking your cashflow and inventory, you know exactly where your company is sitting financially at leading up to CEDIA Expo. You know where your inventory sits, your bills, and other payables are set up. Right? Well if you’ve procrastinated on getting this together, there is no better time than the present. The CEDIA Expo 2013 App can also help you find local places of interest maybe you’re looking for a local brewery or have a hankering for a good slice of pizza, the app can help.

At the Show

Now that you have some idea of what you’re hoping to gain from the show and you’ve taken care of the business odds and ends, get ready for your best Expo experience. We have just a few nuggets of wisdom to offer that you may not have thought of.

Planning time to network. One of the best parts of Expo is meeting new and old friends over dinner to talk shop and brainstorm new ideas. Leave a night or two open where you can schedule dinners or cocktail hours to increase your networking opportunities. Be sure to attend CEDIA events like the After hours Party, Welcome Reception and Electronic Lifestyles® Awards banquet to fully integrate into the excitement.
