InfoComm is changing the way it delivers member benefits in 2013. There will be a simplified membership structure, select online classes available to members at no charge, and discounted in-person training.

In the new year, four online classes will be available to members at no charge. These include Quick Start, Essentials of the AV Industry, the AV Technologist Test, and a new CTS Prep Online course. Companies and organizations with memberships will be able to train an unlimited number of personnel through these programs at no additional charge. Affiliate members can train one person.

In addition, members will be eligible to receive discounted classroom training and certification, free InfoComm standards and select market research, along with free access to roundtables and tradeshows around the world.

InfoComm says the hope is that by lowering most members’ dues, narrowing down memberships to two categories (member and affiliate), and making corporate benefits available on an unlimited basis, more professionals will be able to take advantage of InfoComm training, certification, and networking opportunities.

Membership costs $500, while affiliate membership costs $150. For more information, please contact your InfoComm customer service representative or visit infocomm.org.
