InfoComm International has released the 2010 InfoComm Compensation and Benefits Survey. The 78-page report examines the compensation and benefits trends in the AV industry for the U.S. and Canada. InfoComm produces the survey every two years, polling AV companies on salaries for 27 specific executive, sales, technical, and administrative positions. InfoComm also surveys companies on 21 potential employee benefits.

According to the survey, half of those companies polled reported lower gross revenues in 2009 compared to 2008, but they are positive about the future, with two-thirds expecting to surpass 2009 revenues by a median of close to 10 percent. While 38 percent trimmed full-time staff in 2009, 53 percent plan to expand their workforce in 2010, and only 9 percent expect to cut staff.
