Certification Key to Getting Jobs

In a recent survey, architects, designers, and contractors were asked: Would an internationally accredited AV personnel certification program be an important criterion in choosing your AV consultants or integrators if it were available?

The response: 67 percent said yes.

Fortunately, the InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) program is a third-party (ANSI) accredited to the ISO/IEC 17024 personnel standard. In fact, the CTS, CTS-D, and CTS-I are the only third-party, internationally accredited AV personnel credentials.

The bottom line? If you don’t have your certification, now would be a good time to get it. If you already have it, renew, renew, renew. Renewal is easy: An online form is available at www.infocomm.org/renewal.
