Christie introduces its first high-resolution single-chip DLP projectors that feature BrilliantColor multi-primary image processing, the Christie DS+300 and Christie DS+650. These projectors are the latest in a series of versatile, high-performance projection solutions from Christie, especially designed for meeting rooms, training rooms, executive briefing centers, boardrooms, houses of worship, and government, where space is limited but image quality is essential.

Christie DS+300
Weighing only 6.3lbs., the ultra-compact and portable Christie DS+300 is ideal for unobtrusive installations. At 3300 ANSI lumens, SXGA+ resolution and a 2500:1 contrast ratio, it delivers premium image reproduction. Compatible with virtually any data source up to UXGA (1600×1200) and HDTV formats up to 1080i, the projector offers maximum versatility. Combined with a unique optical design, featuring 100 percent vertical lens shift and a zoom lens for image placement flexibility, the Christie DS+300 is extremely adaptable for installations where space is limited. The projector’s robust design delivers continuous lamp operation of up to 3,000 hours. The Christie DS+300 family also includes a wide-angle lens model, the Christie DS+300W.

Christie DS+650
Compact and quiet, the Christie DS+650 is the brightest single-chip DLP projector in its class, according to Christie. Delivering 6500 ANSI lumens, variable contrast ratio up to 7500:1 and SXGA+ resolution with scaling to UXGA, images are bright and detailed. A broad range of standard inputs allow installation almost anywhere and connect to virtually any source, including HDCP-compliant HDTV formats up to 1080p. A range of high-performance lens options with throw ratio ranges from 0.8:1 through 7:1 and horizontal and vertical lens shift provide the broadest range of installation flexibility. The Christie DS+650 projector offers dual lamp redundancy with up to 2,200 hours in low power mode for lamp redundancy and long life operation.

The Christie DS+300 and Christie DS+650 offer consistent performance suitable for around-the-clock applications. Backed by Christie’s extensive warranty and service and support programs, the projectors are perfect for intensive use applications such as retail signage and high-resolution modeling. Maintenance cycles are also extended with a new filter-free, sealed optical engine that lowers overall cost of ownership.

Developed by Texas Instruments, BrilliantColor enhances color saturation capabilities with an expanded gamut of up to six primary colors to deliver more vivid images and true-to-life viewing experience. As a result, the Christie DS+300 and DS+650 with BrilliantColor deliver enhanced brightness and a superior picture. With added power and versatility, they provide exceptional, cost-effective solutions for a wide range of environments.

“The Christie DS+300 and Christie DS+650 are the consummate presentation solutions, setting new levels in brightness, image clarity and optical efficiency,” remarks Neil Wittering, director of product management, Business Products, Christie. “With improved color reproduction and advanced installation-grade features, these projectors raise the bar in single-chip DLP projection technology.”
