Dan Dugan Sound Design will demonstrate the Model D-2 and D-3 automatic mixing controllers at InfoComm 2010. Designed for a wide range of applications, these products incorporate three Dugan-patented technologies: the Dugan Speech System, which automatically manages any number of live microphones in unscripted talking situations; the Dugan Music System, which offers automatic downward expansion to help reduce feedback and noise pickup in live performance venues; and the Dugan Gain Limiting System, which provides a continuous number of open mics master gain adjusting system to prevent feedback and ambient noise buildup. The Model D-2, offering analog I/O, and D-3, with AES digital I/O, patch into the insert points of an audio mixing console. Both products identify talkers and make fast, seamless crossfades. Additional functions of the products include hardwire bypass of individual channels, a programmable preset for returning to a normal setup, and a programmable override mode that can be used to help the chair¬person quash unruly debate. Price: $11,200 (D-2 complete system package); $12,200 (D-3 complete system package)
