OSD Audio announced the release of the OSD-PA90 commercial amplifier. Intended primarily for commercial audio systems where multiple speakers need to be run from one amplifier, the OSD-PA90 features 70V, 100V, or 8V outputs as well as three microphone input connections with independent volume control for CD players, radios, MP3 players, and iPods. With power-handling capability of 60W into 8V output mode with less than
1 percent THD+N, installers can connect up to 10 70V speakers (tapped in at 5W each). Paired with OSD Audio’s 70V commercial in-ceiling and omni speakers, the OSD-PA90 is ideal for background music and paging for retail stores and commercial buildings as well as outdoor venues such as amusement parks. Because the OSD-9070V AMP is a high-impedance system, long cable runs do not significantly affect the output. The OSD-PA90 includes overload, over-heating, and short-circuit protection.
