Rational Acoustics Smaart 7.0 Sound System Measurement Software

Rational Acoustics is now shipping its Smaart 7.0. This popular FFT-based software for realtime sound-system measurement, optimization, and control can access multichannel input devices, operating native on both Windows and Mac—including 32- and 64-bit versions—running multiple, simultaneous spectrum and transfer function measurements. New features include delay tracking, enhanced impulse response, RTA, and realtime FFT with better than 48th/octave resolution and an improved spectrograph, while a new code base and improved GUI support a modern object-oriented architecture, for enhanced data acquisition and optimized measurement engines. Other features include unlimited input channels/devices; the ability to access multiple devices including virtual devices; ASIO, WAV, and CoreAudio input; the ability to reference to internal sources; power calculation per input (SPL); and time domain filtering/input calibration. Price: $895 (new license); from $450 (upgrades)
