Sony VPL-FX500L and VPL-FX30
At InfoComm 2010, Sony is highlighting its line of LCD business projectors, which includes compact entry-level models, units for education, and advanced installation units for larger venues. The line also includes two new high-brightness 3LCD business projectors, both designed for fixed-installation applications. The new VPL-FX500L model delivers 7000 lumens of color light output and is capable of the widest lens shift in its class, according to the company, suitable for large-screen applications such as university lecture halls and corporate auditoriums. The VPL-FX30 provides 4200 lumens of color light output and is equipped with 1.6X standard zoom lens for flexible installation, designed for mid- to small-sized classrooms or meeting rooms. Both projectors apply Sony’s Bright Era technology, and each has XGA resolution of 1024×768 pixels. Price: $7,080 (VPL-FX500L); $3,360 (VPL-FX30)
