Christie, a leading provider of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, today introduced the Christie LX50, its newest network-enabled, LCD projector. The announcement caps an enormously successful year for Christie, which saw the introduction of a record number of new products and the company’s growth into rapidly expanding markets such as houses of worship, education, executive briefing and conference centers, and rental and staging.

The Christie LX50 projector provides 5000 ANSI lumens and 1200:1 contrast ratio, as well as XGA native resolution with scaling for signals up to SXGA resolution and all currently known HDTV formats. The latest progressive scan video creates crisp, clean, artifact-free images. It has a wide range of short and long throw lenses and connectivity options, in a compact, portable design ideal for shared resources. The motorized zoom, focus, and lens shift with Fast Lens Change (FLC) mount allows for a full range of lens options that are easy to set-up and easy to maintain.

The Christie LX50 projector represents a new level of versatility and performance to meet the most demanding needs of executive briefing and conference centers, small auditoriums, and rental and staging events. A long-life lamp and the industry’s best warranty of three years’ parts and labor help minimize cost-of-ownership while “future-proofing” the investment. The wireless remote operates as a wireless mouse, for additional flexibility and freedom in any application. With optional ChristieNET, the Christie LX50 is networking-ready via the TCP/IP network for ultimate control and preventative maintenance.

“Christie has introduced a record number of innovative products and visual solutions in the past year that have redefined excellence for projection technology,” noted Neil Wittering, Christie’s senior product manager for Fixed Installations. “The Christie LX50 projector offers ground-breaking technology that solidly matches the competition feature-for-feature, and exceeds industry standards for versatility, performance, and price.”
