Kramer Electronics is pleased to announce that the new VP-1608 RGBHV and balanced stereo audio matrix is in stock and ready for delivery.

The Kramer VP-1608 is a 16 input, 8 output matrix switcher with audio gain control on each input and output. It is loaded with great features that make this product an ideal choice for the routing of RGBHV and balanced stereo audio signals. The VP-1608 is a high bandwidth switcher with 400MHz of bandwidth and can also be used to switch other signal formats, such as YUV, s-Video and composite video signals.

The VP-1608 includes audio-breakaway switching, so that audio can be switched independently from video. It has15 preset memory locations for quick access to common configurations. This matrix switcher also has a TAKE button which allows the user to place multiple switching operations in a queue, and then trigger them from one button.

The VP-1608 also has a “delayed switching” mode for clean transitions when switching between non-genlocked sources and also includes a unique vertical and horizontal sync-pulse solution.

Chris Kopin, Director of Product Development at Kramer Electronics USA comments, “The VP-1608 is a very high bandwidth matrix switcher at a very reasonable price that is loaded with features to meet today’s market demands.”

There are several ways to control the VP-1608: via front-panel buttons, via IR remote control, and via RS-232 and RS-485 serial control. The unit fits into three vertical rack spaces (3U) of a standard 19” rack.

The VP-1608 is now in stock and available from Kramer Electronics sales company around the world.
