Hitachi Software Engineering America has rolled out the new StarBoard FX-77GII, a whiteboard the company expects to be more accessible to a larger universe of corporate and educational users. This new model reportedly has a lower price point than the original FX DUO StarBoard.

The wireless, two-button pen device included with the StarBoard functions as a mouse that operates and annotates on the board, says the company. The whiteboard features an electronic-free surface that the company says remains operational even through surface dents or scratches.

According to Hitschi officials, 12 customizable function buttons adapt to the needs of each user and environment. This versatility and the Hitachi StarBoard Software are what enable the creation of dynamic lesson plans and presentations. Users can also use the new Hitachi Educator Portal for uploading and sharing lessons, watching tutorial videos, and obtaining additional teaching resources.
