The new NetMax N8000-1500 audio signal processor from Electro-Voice has a DSP-2 engine, which uses three dual-core processors to expand the processor's total processing power to 1,500 MIPS. Its modular nature allows each input or output card added to the chassis to provide an additional DSP engine and another 100 MIPS of processing power; a fully loaded chassis provides 1,900 MIPS of processing. NetMax delivers a dynamic range of 114 dB from analog input to analog output, including all signal processing. Aside from clear audio, the processor's DSP engine also provides a fixed latency of 2.19 milliseconds from analog input to analog outputs. Price: Contact vendor.
