Digital Projection (DPI) plans to introduce the new E-Vision WXGA 600, which the company calls an affordable (about $6,000 MSRP), high-brightness (6,000 lumens), single-chip DLP projector. Part of a new family of projectors, the dual-lamp E-Vision WXGA 600 offers numerous lens options, swappable color wheels, and advanced color controls. The fixed and zoom lens options give the E-Vision WXGA 600 a shift range of .77:1 to 8.3:1. The 44-pound projector delivers a 2,400:1 contrast ratio using Texas Instruments’ 1280x800 dark metal DLP technology.
