The latest addition to Gefen's professional line of connectivity products is the GefenPro 10x4 DVI DL Matrix. It comes with 6-foot, dual-link DVI cables for connecting 10 source inputs and outputting video to four displays. The DVD-D-only matrix has built-in EDID management to ensure the stability of presets throughout switching, and supports resolutions up to 3840x2400 over dual-link connections (it also handles single-link DVI). Users can control the device via front-panel buttons, IR, RS-232, or IP. Gefen says the $6,000 matrix is Energy Starcompliant and comes with an internal power supply that helps eliminate potential disconnects.
