Software Upgrade

Zaxcom announced that an upgrade of the software package that supports its Deva series of multitrack recorders is available. The Deva Software 4.0 includes capabilities for simultaneous multidisk recording and background disk copying, as well as a full effects package that includes three-band EQ, two notch filters per channel, and a soft knee compressor and delay. The background copy feature allows sound professionals to copy audio files to a common delivery media, such as DVD-RAM, while a live recording is in progress. No PC or other external equipment is required to control the Deva or its functions; all Deva Software 4.0 features are accessible from the Deva's touch-screen display.
