Drones to Make Their Industry Debut at CEDIA 2015 — Thanks to Stampede!

AMHERST, NEW YORK – Drones are making their CI channel debut at CEDIA 2015, thanks to Stampede, North America’s leading ProAV distributor. For the very first time, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be on display alongside various industry-leading ProAV manufacturers, demonstrating how the two formerly disparate product categories have integrated to form Drone Video Systems – a new category in ProAV poised to revolutionize commercial and residential CI industries. The big drone unveiling will take place at Booth #8207 in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

According to Stampede President & COO Kevin Kelly, the same UAV opportunities that are creating major new sales opportunities for ProAV dealers are absolutely available to CEDIA-channel custom installers.

“The use of drones, and specifically Drone Video Systems, in a wide variety of residential applications is rapidly advancing and becoming more of a reality across the country,” Kelly asserted. “More and more homeowners of larger estates are adopting drones as part of their security system. Thus, we are enthusiastic about formally introducing the CI industry to drones at CEDIA 2015.”

Stampede’s booth will feature an enclosed drone-cage presentation area where manufacturers like AEE, DJI, xFold, and Walkera will demonstrate their technology and discuss the ways that drones are being incorporated into current residential and commercial projects.

“We will be demonstrating how drones maximize efficiency in residential security applications, which will give residential channel integrators an inside-look into each particular drone’s potential,” Kelly said. “I urge integrators to capitalize on the growing security applications for drones in the residential sector. The revolution is happening, and it’s happening right now!”

Exhibiting alongside the drones will be other Drone Video System category manufacturers such as Planar, Optoma, Luxul, Just Add Power, to name a few. “In the same way a camera is not a video conferencing system, the drone itself is not the complete solution,” emphasized Kelly. “It’s the foundation that will, when integrated with HD cameras, connectivity solutions, and command-and-control displays, revolutionize the CI industry in the same way it’s revolutionizing ProAV. That’s what we’re going to demonstrate to CEDIA 2015 attendees.”

Kelly concluded, “With this year’s show located in Dallas, CEDIA is the perfect location to unveil new systems that will both protect homeowners’ properties and provide a means to safely inspect cellular towers while reducing the associated costs. Come see the systems firsthand at Stampede’s booth #8207!””CEDIA is dedicated to bringing new opportunities to its membership and drones, as a new product category, is among the most exciting developments to come along in a long time,” said Ron Fleming, Senior Director of Sales & New Business Development at CEDIA. “Stampede has taken a comprehensive approach to introducing and incorporating this amazing new technology into the portfolio of solutions our members can offer their customers. The presence of drones at this year’s show is certain to add considerable buzz and excitement to the show floor!”
