ELECTROGRAPH BRINGS POPULAR RESELLER NETWORKING AND TRAINING EVENT TO CHICAGO“S NAVY PIER

April 10, 2007 – HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK – Electrograph Systems, Inc., one of the nation‘s largest display technology distributors, today announced Chicago‘s Navy Pier will be the next stop for its Display Technology Experience (DTE) educational and networking event for A/V resellers. Set for May 3, 2007, DTE Chicago will be highlighted by Noel Lee, CEO and “Head Monster” of Monster Cable Products, Inc., who will lead a discussion about the art of attachment selling.

“This is Electrograph‘s second DTE in Chicago and we are expecting it to be one of our largest yet with a stronger focus on education through the addition of more courses and evening exhibition hours to the agenda,” explained Sam Taylor, president of Electrograph Systems, Inc. “We are very pleased to have Noel Lee as our featured guest – not only will his entertaining style keep resellers on the edge of their seats, but he will offer invaluable insight and tangible takeaways on how to boost margins and sales with attachment products.”

When Noel Lee first went into business selling premium speaker wire, stereo retailers thought the idea was as crazy as selling bottled water. More than 29 years later, Noel‘s marketing prowess has transformed Monster Cable Products Inc. of Brisbane, California into one of the premier consumer electronics brands and one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s largest minority-owned and private employers.

About DTE Chicago

The Chicago event marks the first DTE that will include the merging of Electrograph and ICG‘s annual Spring Vendor Fair (Spring Vendor Fair press release). DTE Chicago will include newly expanded exhibitor hours until 7:30 pm to give those who can‘t break away during the day an opportunity to attend in the evening.

Next month‘s DTE will provide in-depth workshops and educational sessions on product integration and advanced installation techniques, along with live demonstrations of the newest audiovisual displays and peripherals. Resellers will have the opportunity to earn NSCA learning units by attending four training sessions in two dedicated tracks. Several manufacturers will also hold training sessions on their latest technology, including Samsung, Sharp, Pioneer and Philips. A buffet breakfast, networking luncheon and evening cocktail reception will complete the program.

DTE Trainers and Technologies

Gary Kayye, founder of Kayye Consulting and the industry‘s foremost e-newsletter, rAVe, will deliver a keynote address, called “The Future of AV in Everything”.
