The winners, selected from a field of 18 finalists in six award categories, were announced this morning at an awards ceremony held at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia.
The annual Small Business Person of the Year Award Program pays tribute to top entrepreneurs who are leading their companies to success. The 18 finalists in this year’s program represented six categories that incuded Early Stage Entrepreneur, Emerging Entrepreneur, Experienced Entrepreneur, Minority Entrepreneur, Rising Star, and Veteran Entrepreneur. Rick Cope was selected Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year from a field of three finalists that also included Anisa Palmer, Executive Director and Founder of I Will Survive, Inc. and Kurt Sobotka, Co-Founder and President of Prime Technical Services, Inc.
