NEUTRIK® INTRODUCES ETHERCON FOR CAT6 CABLES AT INFOCOMM 2007

EtherCon Offers Rugged Metal Housing and Chuck-Type Strain Relief

ANAHEIM, CA, JUNE 7, 2007 – Neutrik, designer and manufacturer of the industry leading XX series XLR cable connector, announces its EtherCon series for CAT6 cables at InfoComm 2007 in Anaheim, booth # 8033.

The EtherCon CAT6 series offers a rugged patch cable solution, which includes a metal housing for RJ45 cable connectors that protect the connector against mechanical load. It is equipped with Neutrik‘s chuck-type strain relief with a separate push-pull locking mechanism, to avoid accidental unplugging. The cable solution is available in custom lengths and the receptacle will accept a standard RJ45 cable end in addition to the EtherCon patch cable.

“With the rise in popularity of the CAT6 cabling system, Neutrik has added a CAT6 version to its EtherCon line to accommodate this growing trend,” stated Jim Cowan, president of Neutrik USA. “To meet the unique and stringent demands of each application, it was critical that we offer a product that was as durable and performs as well as the Cat6 products it connects.”

The EtherCon system was developed to meet the rising requirements of data volume, transfer rate and bandwidth. It is perfectly suitable for Ethernet applications, especially in harsh, demanding environments, such as live stage production, DMX lighting, outdoor Internet access and industrial Ethernet.

Neutrik manufactures a wide array of XLR connectors and receptacles, jacks and plugs, speaker connectors and accessories for the professional audio industry. Neutrik USA is located at 195 Lehigh Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701.
