Wednesday Webinars Fill the Need
The first series of Wednesday Webinars was attended by more than 900 people. InfoComm is so glad you liked them that we are having a second series.
The second series will start Sept. 2, with featured topics including business, live event, and technical. It is a great way to learn and earn RUs. These free sessions are also recorded, and many will still earn RUs for you if you decide to take a short test (go to InfoComm's store to register) after viewing them. For more information, visit www.infocomm.org/webinars.

InfoComm Launches New Pioneers in AV Award
InfoComm International is pleased to announce that it is honoring the heritage of the industry by creating the InfoComm International Pioneers of AV Award.
"On InfoComm's 70th anniversary year, it is only appropriate that we pay tribute to those who helped pave the way for today's vibrant $75 billion global industry," said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., executive director, InfoComm International. "The InfoComm International Pioneers Award will allow us to reflect on the dynamic inventors and entrepreneurs who developed technology that improved communication and created benefits that stand the test of time."
The first InfoComm International Pioneers of AV Award is being issued at the InfoComm 09 ribbon-cutting ceremony immediately preceding the show's opening.
Green AV Mixer
At 4 p.m. June 18, the InfoComm Green AV Task Force will host a Green AV Mixer in the Platinum Lounge at InfoComm 09. Admission to the reception is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about Green AV and how they can be a part of the movement.
While intended as more of a casual opportunity to meet and mingle with your virtual friends from the Green AV SIG, there will also be information and representation from the U.S. Green Building Council, Energy Star and the leaders of the Green AV Task Force. If your organization is interested in aligning their brand with the Green AV movement, various sponsorship opportunities are available.
We welcome you to join the Green AV SIG e-Group on InfoComm.org, attend our kick-off event, and have some fun mixing it up at InfoComm 09. The Green AV Mixer is sponsored by Christie Digital Systems.
Stop by the InfoComm International Booth
InfoComm International marks its 70th anniversary in 2009. To celebrate our members' important role in making communications better for audiences worldwide, we have adopted a superhero theme at our member booth.
Stop by Booth 5261 to see how we can boost your business with all the benefits and programs we offer year-round. You can also recharge with a visit to the theater where we feature an exciting new video retrospective of the association.
The InfoComm International booth is the place to be to learn about member benefits, social media sign up, InfoComm education information, InfoComm Certification Ask-the-Expert, government relations presentations, entertainment, networking, training sessions, show information, and more.
New members are also welcome to join us for a New Member Social Hour. Join association staff and members for refreshments at the InfoComm booth from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. daily, while learning about the benefits of InfoComm International membership.
