SIM2 LUMIS 3D-S wins historic GOOD DESIGN award

Pordenone, Italy — January 11, 2012 — SIM2, the Italian manufacturer whose high performance home theater projectors are known worldwide for their pristine video resolution and stunning aesthetic design, announces a new “entry” to the already impressive list of awards received throughout the years: the GOOD DESIGN Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Chicago.

The Chicago Athenaeum awarded the prestigious prize to SIM2 for the design of the LUMIS 3D-S, the company’s high-end compact 3-chip DLPA® home theater 3D single unit projector, the first and only on the HT market which utilizes Triple Flash Technology, the same technology chosen by best cinema theaters to produce natural and fatigue-less images .

Several thousands of leading manufacturers, corporations, industrial design offices, architects, graphic and packaging designers from over 50 nations submitted the best of their new product design to the world’s most important design program that honors worldwide design innovation, vision, sustainability, and the competitive design edge.
