New Security Features Align With Most Stringent U.S. Federal Government Requirements

Featuring new security features to meet the most demanding United States Federal Government requirements, the latest version of the Infinity scalable meeting platform includes enhancements such as Active Directory (AD) integration, role-based authentication, and secure NTP/SNMP to provide IT managers with the most robust tools for secure meeting platform management.

AD integration support in Pexip Infinity Version 6 lets administrators use existing AD or LDAP servers to authenticate all incoming connections to the Pexip Management Node. As a result, organizations obtain simpler, more secure authentication capabilities while allowing the automatic enforcement of password complexity, expiration, automatic account creation/deletion, and single password access via any device. Role-based authentication now enables users to create and assign role-based permissions to individuals or administrator groups — resulting in the ability to log and track individual administrator activities.
Pexip Infinity’s support for secure NTP and SNMP version 3 ensures that communication with external services remains encrypted and protected. By providing practical single-screen notifications to administrators whenever new platform events occur, Infinity Version 6 allows for more effective troubleshooting, issue resolution, and maintenance. In alignment with U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) requirements, a new Assured Services SIP feature enables failsafe operation within mission-critical environments.
In addition to new security enhancements, Pexip’s Infinity Version 6 is introducing a number of user-centric improvements. These include new presence capabilities for Microsoft(R) Lync(R), custom Lync pictures and avatars, and configurable conference participant limits that prevent the oversubscription of conference resources.
