In this edition, SVC contributing editor Bennett Liles talks with Richard O’Connell, principal at AV DesignBuild. O’Connell details the complete overhaul of the sound system at the 125 year old Sacred Heart Church in Springfield, Massachusetts. Acoustics, microphone cabling, RFI problems and mixing locations were among the problems tackled in the installation. All this had to be accomplished without affecting the natural architectural beauty of the sanctuary.
