  1. Christie launches new affordable 4K laser projectors
Christie has launched the Korus Series, a new range of 1DLP laser projectors that offer 4K UHD+ resolution and value in a compact package. With four models, including two TAA-compliant projectors, the new series features brightness up to 14,250 lumens. Powered by advanced 0.8” HEP DMD technology, these projectors unite 4K UHD+ clarity, color, and 1,500:1 native and 25,000:1 dynamic contrast with lumen-to-watt efficiency in a compact design. At just 38 lbs (17.2 kg), Korus Series is 30% lighter than comparative models.

  2. Belkin announces new wireless HDMI casting system
This year’s CES in Las Vegas saw Belkin unveil a new wireless casting solution with the ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter. This adapter can wirelessly cast from a device’s USB-C adapter to a display or projector within a range of 131 feet.
Priced at $150, the ConnectAir adapter casts at 1080p Full HD resolution with a refresh rate of 60Hz without the need for a Wi-Fi network or additional drivers. The solution is plug-andplay, and consists of USB-A to HDMI receiver dongle and a USB-C transmitter. Belkin says that the device can cast from any DisplayPort Alt Mode-supported USB-C device, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The company states that its casting solution supports multi-user screen sharing of up to eight transmitters, with a latency of under 80ms.
  3. HDR10+ Advanced to begin device licensing and certification
Originally announced late last year, more information has been released regarding the upcoming HDR10+ Advanced ecosystem. HDR10+ Technologies, LLC, a multi-industry association, has revealed that it will soon commence the licensing and certification of devices, content, and services that support HDR10+ Advanced dynamic metadata technology.
