  2. Royal Albert Hall worker avoids jail after massive microphone theft

Calvin Williams, described as a “casual shift worker” at London’s Royal Albert Hall, has been handed a suspended sentence for the brazen theft of microphones and other equipment from the venue. In 2025, Williams stole over $17,000 worth of equipment from the concert hall before being fired. Mixx Audio has debuted what it describes as the world’s first concentric vinyl and CD player. The Analog Plus takes a new approach to the 2-in-1 player by placing a “hidden” CD player in the middle of the turntable platter, allowing users to have access to both formats without significantly increasing the amount of space the device takes up. The Analog Plus supports both 12 ″ and 7 ″ records, as well as 33/44 RPM playback. The record player is fully automatic, and can be controlled via onboard buttons or an included remote.
  4. Vector Simulations and Scalable Display Technologies drive the future of automotive training
Based in Switzerland, Vector Simulations AG has engineered an advanced driving simulator that delivers fully immersive, lifelike experiences across a wide range of vehicle types and training scenarios. Designed to engage all essential sensory cues, the simulator creates a deeply realistic environment for users. The system is built on a spherical projection screen brought to life by five projectors. To ensure perfect visual continuity across this complex canvas, Vector Simulations turned to Scalable Display Technologies for projection mapping and edge blending.
  5. Gerber Gear launches new flip bit-driver multitool
Gerber Gear has launched the Stakeout Drive, a new offshoot of its Stakeout multitool line. Where the Stakeout Drive differentiates itself is in the addition of a flip-out bit driver. While the driver itself can store a two-sided bit, there is space to store one additional bit in the multitool’s handle.
