ONE SHOW, ONE PLACE: INFOCOMM 08

InfoComm 08 will open in just three months in Las Vegas, and it is already bigger than last year’s record-setting professional audiovisual show. Held in the North and Central halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, the conference will take place June 14-20, 2008, with the exposition taking place June 18-20.

InfoComm 08 will feature more than 10,000 commercial AV products, more than 950 exhibitors, more than 350 educational courses, more than 32,000 attendees, audio demo rooms, technology application special events, manufacturers’ training, and networking opportunities.

“Attending InfoComm’s tradeshow is a valuable investment in both time and money,” says Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., executive director of InfoComm International. “In just a few days you can visit the most comprehensive array of professional audio, digital signage, display, conferencing, lighting, control system, and signal-distribution technology manufacturers available in one location, all while receiving world-class education and training from leading experts and manufacturers.”

Although InfoComm is large, it is easy to navigate, thanks to pavilions that bring similar technologies together. Audio, Digital Signage, Lighting and Staging, and United Collaborative Conferencing are just a few of the pavilions featuring integrated solutions from innovative manufacturers. Many special exhibits on the show floor, such as the Large Venue Display Gallery, can be seen only at InfoComm.

InfoComm 08 marks an important new era because the NSCA Expo will be incorporated into the event for the first time. “We welcome NSCA’s traditional attendees, and hope the entire industry will enjoy being part of one comprehensive event,” Lemke says.

InfoComm 07, held in Anaheim, Calif., was the biggest tradeshow in the history of the industry, with more than 31,000 attendees visiting 861 exhibitors occupying 496,000 net square feet of paid exhibits, special events, and demo meeting space. InfoComm 08 is anticipated to be another record breaker.

InfoComm is attended by visitors from more than 90 countries. The show is supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce International Buyers Program (IBP).

Attendees can make good use of their time by attending NXTcomm, located in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, at the same time. The co-owned tradeshow by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the United States Telecom Association (USTelecom) targeting premier information and communications technology suppliers, is taking place June 17-19. InfoComm visitors may access the NXTcomm show floor for free, and vice versa. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit with more than 1,350 exhibitors at InfoComm and NXTcomm.
