Black+Decker’s 20V MAX Lithium Cordless Drill with AutoSense Technology has an automatic clutch that is said to be three times more accurate than a mechanical clutch. The drill features two modes, drill and drive. In drive mode, a microprocessor continuously measures the tool’s performance and the drill stops automatically when it senses that the screw is flush with the work surface. In drive mode the drill combines the power of the 20V MAX battery and its 0–800 RPM motor for quick completion of any homeowner application. The 20V MAX drill/driver is sold with a charger and a 20V MAX lithium ion battery, which holds a charge for up to 18 months and is the first power tool to feature the new Black+Decker logo and brand identity.
