BryteWerks Model One

BryteWerks announced the BryteWerks Model One line of Intel Core CPU-based digital projectors. Designed for either consumer or professional applications, the Model One line delivers 16:10 widescreen 1920×1200 resolution (within five percent of professional 2K cinema systems), through a LCD Native WUXGA panel. The projectors also feature an ultra-high brightness of 6,000-11,000 lumens, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 1:1 throw of one foot to 50ft. The BryteWerks Model One projectors feature (depending upon model configuration), an Intel Core i3 to i7 HTPC CPU, slot-loaded Blu-ray player, up to 2TB of internal storage, including a 500GB Solid State Drive, and a custom version of XBMC, and an open-source media organization and playback application. The Model One is controlled from the 720p 8.9in. touchpanel display on the back of the projector, a provided RF remote control, or the free XBMC remote app for Android and iOS devices, as well as existing WiFi and Bluetooth devices—from keyboards to smartphones to tablets—already on the market. Features include customized media playlist creation, variable frame rate control up to 60fps, pre-rendered transitions, and independent control of connected devices and/or daisy-chained BryteWerks projectors. The black aluminum and steel enclosure is only 17in. cubed and weighs 28lbs. Price: $2,449 to $5,999
