AKG CS3 System

Conferencing solutions are making huge strides in providing a multitude of features for all types of applications. With wired and wireless, security and quality may reside in the same products and the price points vary along with the features needed. With simpler configuration and exhaustive voting capabilities, everything you need is now available.

AKG’s CS3 System is a modular and flexible conference system with components that can be easily set up, wired, and expanded. One base unit can support 60 microphones. The base unit connects to all relevant devices such as PA, recording, external audio sources, and camera control systems. It also comes with a robust interface connector, making it simple to interchange the stations microphone. The detachable microphone comes in two choices: the CS321 cardioid condenser capsule on a 30cm (12in.) long gooseneck and the 50cm (20in.) long CS521. It features plug-and-play setup for repeatable operation.

Three selectable operating modes (on/off, push-to-talk, or push-to-mute) functions allow Apex Electronics’ Apex146 to be effective in many situations. The integrated silent touch-switch on the front panel and LED ring indicator give the user control of the microphone without snaps and pops. The Apex146 is suitable for conferencing, discussion groups, and announcement applications.

Audio-Technica ATCS-60

Audio-Technica’s ATCS-60 wireless infrared technology provides flexibility and freedom. Features include four selectable channels for multi-language conferences and an automated camera function facilitating audiovisual integration. Wireless infrared technology offers peace of mind that your information never leaves the room. Battery life indication, a built-in speaker, and a headphone jack along with voice detection and a standard battery life of 6 hours make this system quite powerful.

The MicroPod Series modular system from Audix consists of the M1250B miniature condenser microphone that can be combined with either a 6in., 12in., or 18in. gooseneck shaft. The MicroPod series system is available with a hypercardioid polar pattern option for tighter pick-up control or a shotgun pickup pattern for extended distance. The MicroPod series requires 18 – 52V phantom power.

The 6-channel infrared conferencing system from Azden features a rackmount receiver (1RR-106) with six individual (volume adjustable) outputs and one mixed output. RF protection against DTV and mobile phones, and the security of containing all audio signals ‘inside the room,’ help make these systems formidable. Azden tabletop mics can use alkaline or rechargeable batteries, features a flexible gooseneck, and a push on/push off/talk button.

Beyerdynamic Quinta

The 5th generation of wireless conference technology from beyerdynamic is the Quinta discussion system, which meets some of the most stringent requirements regarding operational safety, reliability, and transmission security. The wireless microphone units use gooseneck microphones in four different lengths. Using the steno-s 4 software from beyerdynamic, it is also possible to record meetings. Included features such as Braille and a headphone connection for hearing assistance adhere to the UN Convention on equal rights for disabled people.

Bosch CCS 900 Ultro Discussion System

The CCS900 Ultro Discussion System from Bosch offers design features and functions, which include a patent-pending Possible-To-Speak indicator, giving delegates a visual indication when the microphone is available to speak. Depending on the selected mode of the control unit (CU), up to four delegates can switch on their microphones simultaneously. Each system includes a CU connected to a number of delegate and chairman units. The advanced CU is equipped with an easy-to-read LCD screen and a Secure Digital (SD) card slot for recording. They use Bosch Digital Acoustic Feedback Suppressor (DAFS), which employs proprietary digital signal processing functions to balance sound pressure levels and system gain above normal feedback limits.

CAD Audio Astatic GNVPD series

Digimic by Bräehler is the multifaceted solution, using Digimic Mini, Classic, and Pro systems. Digimic works as a standalone solution and its plug-and-play setup is self-configuring. With DMicControl software, Digimic can also be controlled at any time via PC. All functions and settings can also be steered by external systems such as media controllers and computer software, or can be operated completely independent of any computer software. The microphone units are connectable via robust and lockable male and female connectors. In wireless operation mode, the Digimic transmission protocol guarantees interference-free communications. The integrated rechargeable lithium-polymer battery ensures continuous operation for more than 20 hours.

CAD Audio’s Astatic GNVPD series features include a continuously variable polar pattern, high pass filter, miniature gooseneck condenser with integrated desk stand, programmable membrane switch, LED, and logic interface. It is engineered to resist interference from devices such as cell phones and two-way communication devices. The logic input can remotely control the LED as well as the membrane switch activation. The membrane switch working with or bypassing the microphone’s mute activates the logic output. The GNVPD is primarily designed for speech and vocal pickup in governmental, institutional, and business applications.

The S 157-RF from Clockaudio features a desk stand with fully programmable touch pad for PTT, PTM, and latching mode. A 5-pin female XLR plug is provided for input connection for Clockaudio Halo microphones. A 7-pin male socket mounted on the rear of the product is provided for output connection. It is fully protected against RF interference, which will eliminate all GSM frequencies from 800-1200MHz.

Electro-Voice PolarChoice Satellite Desktop

Electro-Voice’s PolarChoice Satellite Satellite Desktop is a dual gooseneck tabletop microphone and base with the ability to adapt to any Electro-Voice or Telex brand wireless bodypack transmitter. It features the same polar pattern, filter, and mute switch functionality as its wired counterpart, and is available in 5in., 12in., and 18in. gooseneck length versions.

The CS-1CU i-Conference Discussion System from JTS is equipped with an inhouse-made ECM capsule, intelligent automatic mixing technology, and integrated acoustic and mechanical design, providing turnkey solution and delivering natural audio performance. The control unit is the center of the discussion system, which controls the microphones of the chairman and delegate units as well as connects to other audio input and output. It also supplies the power for the CU itself, and up to 50 chairman and delegate units. The delegate unit enables the attendants to participate in a discussion by speaking through a microphone, controlled by a microphone on/off push-button, and listening to discussion by the internal loudspeaker and external headphone.

Revolabs’ Executive HD MaxSecure

Revolabs’ Executive HD MaxSecure wireless microphone system offers support for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) and dynamic re-keying. The rackmountable main unit offers support for up to eight microphones and multiple units can be linked together to support 32 or more microphones per area. It can be integrated with all control systems via RS-232 or Ethernet and programmed from the front-panel LCD display.
