Immersive technology artists, Lumen & Forge, brought a magical holiday experience for the internationally-renowned Streetmosphere at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. This 17-minute projection mapping show, “Holiday Spectacular” was displayed in front of the St. Mark’s Square Clock Tower. The production features custom animated content accompanied by live, holiday-inspired entertainment with an Italian twist provided by the Streetmosphere cast that performs in conjunction with the animations.
“We love holiday activations. Illuminating the St. Mark’s Square Clock Tower at Grand Canal Shoppes was an exciting project,” says Palmer Nicklas, Creative Director of Lumen & Forge. “We partnered with BESTAgency to produce ‘Holiday Spectacular,’ using projection mapping to augment the architecture with custom video effects that leave guests in awe and in the holiday spirit.”
Lumen & Forge and Senior Animator Chris Butcher worked with Christie Digital, utilizing a 30K lumen Christie Boxer 4K30 projector and custom media server to animate the Clock Tower and transform it into an immersive experience designed to whisk guests away on a wintery 3D journey to an Italian “Vacanze” holiday using lights and sound.
