SoundTube has introduced the SMi-WX series of outdoor surface-mount speakers. The SM500i-II-WX, SM590i-II-WX and SM890i-WX speakers are designed to withstand wet weather conditions. The SMi-WX series is built using non-corrosive materials for all exposed metal components including grilles, screws, and mounting systems. The speakers also feature WX Weather Guard, a dual-layer hydrophobic material inside the speaker grille designed to keep water away from the drivers and internal electronics. The SM890i-WX is an 8in. high-SPL surface-mount speaker which includes a 150W low-insertion loss transformer and an easily accessed six-position tap switch for 25-, 70.7- and 100V operation plus transformer bypass. The SM590i-II-WX is a high-power coaxial surface-mount speaker with a 5.25in. polypropylene woofer and 1in. horn-loaded convex titanium dome tweeter. The SM500i-II-WX is a coaxial surface-mount speaker with a 5.25in. polypropylene woofer and a 1in. convex titanium tweeter with FerroFluid cooling. Price: NA
