LOUD-SPEAKERS

The MTX Audio Blueprint Contractor series includes nine new models designed specifically for home theater applications. The high-performance, custom in-wall and in-ceiling speakers provide features such as a pivoting dome tweeter, a front-mounted tweeter level switch, IR remote knockout, and video shielding, and give the listener more mounting location options, more imaging control, and better overall performance. In addition to a variety of 5.25in., 6.5in., and 8in. in-ceiling and in-wall models, a specialty LCR for front- and center-channel applications and an in-wall subwoofer are also available. The 8in. in-wall sub boosts low frequencies, creating a rich, full sound without taking up any floor space.

PROJECTION SCREEN

The CineWeave HD projection screen from SmX Cinema Solutions is made from a patent-pending woven material to produce what SmX touts as the first acoustically transparent projection screen. According to the company, the screen provides clear, consistently bright and vibrant images from edge to edge, pure color accuracy, and increased contrast and sharpness, all without degradation of audio quality. The video-projection screen combines high reflective gain (1.16), acoustic transparency that requires zero screen EQ, 160-degree hotspot-free viewing angles, and freedom from reflective artifacts. And because of the screen’s unique, easy on-site adjustability, SmX guarantees CineWeave to be entirely free of moiré-pattern artifacts.

LOUDSPEAKER

The JBL LS360C in-ceiling home theater loudspeaker features a Radiator Plus flatpanel woofer; dual 3in. Organic Ceramic Composite midrange drivers; and a 1in., pure-titanium tweeter mounted in an EOS waveguide to deliver clear and detailed sound quality over a wide listening area.
