Williams Sound has begun shipping the PPA R1600 FM remote loudspeaker to commercial sound markets worldwide.

Many facilities use remote office space or meeting rooms for daily activities, but they are unable to take advantage of audio services due to audio cable being difficult to install. The R1600 FM remote loudspeaker helps to solve this problem. The loudspeaker will pick up the broadcast of an audio service wirelessly from any Williams Sound transmitter operating at 72MHz to 76MHz. No unsightly audio cables to run; no complicated installation.

The loudspeaker simply plugs into an available AC outlet, and the volume of the audio program can be adjusted to a comfortable listening level. The loudspeaker is ideal for an office, nursery, cry room, rehearsal room, or any remote location where the participants need to listen or monitor the audio service.

The R1600 features 16 user-selectable FM channels on 72MHz to 76MHz. When used with the Williams Sound T35 transmitter, which connects to an existing audio system, the R1600 will pick up a broadcast at a distance of up to 1000ft.

The unit can be set on a flat surface, mic stand, or installed on a wall or ceiling with the provided brackets.

Additional audio inputs include a 1/4in. mic jack and line level RCA jack. Line level out jack can drive additional loudspeakers to accommodate a larger listening area. An additional Williams Sound receiver sled can be installed on the R1600 for stereo or 2-channel applications.

The R1600 loudspeaker includes a five-year factory warranty (90 days on accessories), and meets the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements for hearing assistance. The system meets RoHS lead-free compliance guidelines.
